Volunteering

We rely on the community to help us achieve our vision of caring for our children who desperately need our help. You can help us in various ways:

  • Volunteering

Helping with the organizing of donated goods at our offices
Assisting with fundraising and at fundraising events
Sourcing donations
Distribution of food and clothing to communities
Ad hoc administrative and IT support
Medical
Stocktaking from time to time

Volunteers are at the centre of our organization as we rely on them fully to assist us in providing effective services to the children of our community. Consistency, routine, boundaries and structure is of utmost importance for children exposed to dysfunctional home environments, and it develops a sense of security and is the first step in the process of assisting these children. We require a minimum of 6 months commitment specifically if you are going to work with the children themselves. Therefore it is important that you think very carefully before signing up, regarding the effect this will have on your family and the time you are able to commit.

  • Care Giving

As an organization we have a volunteering policy in place which will be made available to you before you start, and you will also receive orientation and/or training with regards to what is expected of you as a volunteer. Due to the sensitive service we provide, each volunteer will be screened through an interview process to ensure that you are a suitable candidate.
